ACR+ member Odense municipality's waste plan 2021-2032 is now out for consultation. The waste plan describes how the municipality will manage waste in the coming years. With this plan, Odense municipality aims at paving the way to increase recycling and, at the same time, to create opportunities for more products to have a new or longer life before they end up as waste, and to support Odense municipality's goal of becoming climate neutral by 2030.

The initiatives in the waste plan should lead to at least: increased recycling of household waste to at least 60% by 2026, including increased recycling of plastic packaging to at least 55% by 2030; increased amount for direct recycling collected through the municipal scheme; and reduced CO2 emissions.
