The deputy for Sustainability presented the door-to-door selective collection project to the mayors of the municipalities in the inland centre of the province that have outsourced the collection service to ACR+ member Diputación de Castellón. With this project, the provincial institution aims to improve the environment of towns with less than 5,000 inhabitants, as well as the quality and attention of the service to the neighbourhood and also to improve the domestic waste collection data in inland areas.

Specifically, it proposes that the municipality will carry out the collection of each fraction of household waste with electric trucks on the days determined by the real needs of the neighbours. The waste will be taken to a transfer station outside the municipality and, from this point, the provincial council's collection trucks will take the waste to the corresponding waste treatment plant.
