The Department of Territory and Sustainability, through ACR+ member ARC, and the Department of culture of the Catalonia Government are launching a campaign to promote the selective collection and recycling of electrical and electronic equipment through public libraries in Catalonia. The aim is to intensify the involvement of citizens in reducing waste and in changing the system towards a circular economy, which prioritises the reuse and recovery of waste as new products.

The initiative will be carried out in 68 libraries throughout the territory with various activities such as repair workshops, video forums, magic shows and storytelling, among others. It is part of the “Cambia el chip. Recicla'ls” campaign which, with the aim of extending the useful life of electrical and electronic equipment, is part of the National Plan for the fulfilment of the Sustainable Development Goals.
