In its 11th year, ACR+ member Zero Waste Scotland’s Recycle Week is an annual celebration of recycling and encourages a week of positive action. This year, Recycle Week was hosted virtually from 21 to 28 September with the hashtag #RecycleWeek. Zero Waste Scotland took this opportunity to recognise everyone who has kept recycling and reusing even in the midst of a global pandemic. Fun hints and tips for how to recycle as much as possible have been posted on the How to Waste Less website.

To mark Recycle Week, Scotland’s Environment Secretary Roseanna Cunningham emphasised the importance of recycling and announced a GBP 70 million investment to improve waste and recycling infrastructure. This major investment is one of a number of initiatives planned by the government to help increase recycling and build a circular economy.
