With the growth of the tourism sector and the importance it has for local and national economy, ACR+ member LIPOR, in partnership with the Porto City Council and Porto Ambiente, will promote, with teachers and students from the University of Wageningen, a new study on “Increasing the prevention, re-use & recycling of solid waste in hostels in Porto”.
 
This study will look at how hostels users in Porto handle their waste, in order to outline strategies to improve LIPOR’s communication with younger tourists, so that they can contribute to increased prevention and recycling in the region. The results obtained will be released during the month of July 2020.
