Benefitting from a funding from the EEA Grants, ACR+ member Cascais Ambiente will launch a new project, “iREC - Innovate Recycling”, on innovative beverage packaging deposit.

With iREC, 10 machines for depositing beverage packages will be installed in commercial establishments of the main retail operators in the municipality. This innovative approach for all citizens and consumers of Cascais will be accompanied by in-depth studies to understand the benefits of the system and the environmental and social impacts.
