Although the potential of industrial symbiosis in achieving green growth and implementing circular economy has been demonstrated, a gap exists between the skills that are supplied by education institutions and those that are actually required by industry. To fill this gap, ACR+ member Sistemi Formativi Confindustria partnered with 5 other European organisations to launch the Erasmus+ INSIGHT project. It offers to develop a new professional profile, the industrial symbiosis facilitator, and the training curriculum necessary for it. A report on industrial symbiosis skills, competences and critical knowledge and a blueprint for industrial symbiosis will also be prepared by the consortium.
