ACR+ member EMULSA and the Municipal Water Company of Gijón are launching in Gijón a new campaign “The sea starts here”, to raise public awareness of throwing cigarette butts or any other type of waste to the sewers.
 
Among the actions of this campaign, 3,000 “pocket” ashtrays will be distributed in the areas with the highest pedestrian influx, for example, due to many terraces. Likewise, a total of 100 plates with the slogan “Do not throw anything, the sea starts here” will be placed next to the sewer drains, some of them, accompanied by the silkscreen of an octopus, whale, dolphin or seahorse.
