On 3 April 2019, Córdoba reached an agreement with a local company that produces high-quality organic fertilizers for the distribution of 400 tonnes of compost per month. The compost will be produced at the Córdoba Environmental Complex.

The aim of the contract is to foster the local economy and create employment in the province.

The first deputy mayor of Córdoba and president of ACR+ member Sadeco, which is the publicly owned waste management company in the city, stated that the institution has increased its production of refined compost by 20% up to 12,000 tonnes in 2018 thanks to the improvements carried out at its recycling plant in 2017.
