The international Circular Change Conference has become one of the key events in Europe dedicated to the topic of the circular economy. This year, ACR+ member Wcycle Maribor is hosting the fourth edition of Circular Change Conference, which will take place on 16 and 17 May 2019 in Maribor, Slovenia

The ambition of this edition is to move towards “less talk, more action”. The organiser, ACR+ partner Circular Change is inviting participants to explore what is actually happening “on the ground”. There are excellent reports and data, as well as guidelines for much needed solutions to move from a linear to circular economy. Most of the world’s governments have agreed on the sustainable development approach, based on the SDGs, that takes the environmental, economic and social dimensions into account. The next step is to translate them into concrete actions, radical collaboration and scalable success stories.

On the first day, after the welcome address by the Mayor of Maribor Saša Arsenovič, the conference will focus on four business cases from four priority sectors: food, manufacturing, mobility and forest-based value chains, all the while referring back to the key role played by the creative industries. ACR+ will intervene during a workshop addressing waste vs. resources. The second day will be dedicated to both ideas and actions about circularity, followed by company visits and panel discussions.
