ACR+ member the City of Paris will develop centers where Parisians can get rid of materials and objects they no longer need in order to make sure that a second life can be given to these objects.

The mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, reaffirmed her interest in developing "Re-Craft in Paris" spaces. This new plan, with a budget of 8 million euros for 2018, aims to increase resource reuse.  The goal is to open 20 such spaces in Paris, focusing on different waste related problems. One of them is focusing on textile and therefore offer sewing classes, do-it-yourself workshop to create, repair and transform cloths and textile objects. Another project is focusing on reducing food waste by offering meals made from unsold food.
