On 26-27 September 2017, ACR+ member Zero Waste Scotland in partnership with CIWM and SEPA will host the “Scottish Resources Conference 2017” which is the Scotland's biggest and most important event for sustainability, resource and waste management professionals. This two-day event brings together business professionals and practitioners from all industries.

The ministerial address will be delivered by Cabinet Secretary for the Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform, Roseanna Cunningham. Ms Cunningham is expected to outline Scottish Government work and priorities around the circular economy and tackling food waste.

The conference will generate up to the minute topical discussion on some of the biggest challenges and developments of the circular economy to date – including accelerating actions to reduce food waste, embedding reuse to help improve social inclusion opportunities, and how can business help influence consumer behaviour for better environmental outcomes.

The conference will act as a platform for circular economy innovation, with design and innovation leads from Glasgow School of Art, Innovate UK and Siemens joining entrepreneurs for a panel discussion, as well as an exhibition area showcasing the latest emerging circular economy technology and business models.
