Registration for the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) 2024 is now officially open, inviting public authorities, NGOs, businesses, educational institutions, and individual citizens to participate in this year's campaign, which will run from 16 to 24 November. The 2024 edition places a significant emphasis on food waste, a pressing issue that impacts environmental sustainability across Europe. Participants can register to lead or join various actions aimed at raising awareness about waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and clean-up activities.

The EWWR campaign offers multiple ways to get involved. Those interested in taking an active role can sign up as Action Developers to organise initiatives that contribute to waste reduction efforts. Individuals or groups looking to participate in local events can explore actions happening near them during the campaign week. Additionally, public authorities with expertise in waste prevention are encouraged to become EWWR Coordinators, overseeing and promoting the campaign within their regions. With the focus on food waste, this year's EWWR promises to be a crucial step in fostering more sustainable practices across Europe.
