In less than a month, ACR+ members will be gathering in Brussels for two days of exchanges and brainstorming under the guiding theme "Empowering the sustainable transition towards circularity. New participative approaches for ACR+ cities and regions to lead the transition pathway." To ensure a thorough discussion between key stakeholders, the programme of this year’s General Assembly includes a session open to all on 10 June in the morning and dedicated to discussing the way towards a circular resilient Europe.

To help ACR+ members and their fellow decentralised authorities navigate among the new instruments and circular economy solutions at local and regional level, guest speakers from the European Centre of Excellence on Sustainability, the European Commission, the European Economic and Social Committee and two leading NGOs, Energy Cities and the European Environmental Bureau, will share their insight and exchange views on the topic.

To open the session, we will be proud to welcome Minister Alain Maron, Minister of the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region and responsible for Climate Change, Environment, Energy and Participatory Democracy. Brussels lately unveiled a new instrument to reach its ambitions, "Shifting Economy", which aims at a paradigm shift to ensure the development of a prosperous, local, sustainable and resilient economy that meets the needs of inhabitants and entrepreneurs.

This session is open to all, ACR+ members, friends and anyone interested in building a circular resilient Europe, so come and join us on 10 June! Make sure you register as seats are limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registrations for the other sessions of the ACR+ General Assembly 2022 are now closed. If you missed the deadline and would still like to participate, please contact Marie Cardon (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).
