SMART WASTE EU FLAG small

To clearly map the situation, each EURE partner is working on a regional report detailing the state of play of urban environmental policy instruments on its territory.

After Spain/Portugal, Empoli and the Lubelskie region, you can now learn more on the situation regarding territorial development instruments in the Pilsen Metropolitan Area (CZ), the Brittany region (FR), and Cyprus.

The Regional Report Pilsen Metropolitan Area (PMA) focuses on the Territorial development instrument: integrated territorial investments (ITI) strategy of PMA. It elaborates on the vision for the PMA which is “PMA - A STRONG AND COMPETITIVE REGION”. To fulfill this vision, it is necessary for PMA to encourage the greatest potential, which the metropolitan area has, i.e. outstanding fields, their products and necessary conditions and, at the same time, eliminate major issues preventing development of competitiveness.

The Regional Report Brittany focuses on the "Bretagne ERDF Operational Programme 2014-2020" policy instrument. The programme's key objective is to promote a greener economy, although, for practical reasons, the study carried out on the region was focused on the Axis 3 of the Programme: Energy transition and its impact on local authorities.

The Regional Report Cyprus focuses on the two main urban development tools for the city of Nicosia are: a) The “Sustainable Urban Development” strategy of Nicosia and b) Local Plan of Nicosia.
