Since the beginning of the month ACR+ is a supporter of the Green City Accord. Initiated by the European Commission, the Green City Accord is a movement of European mayors committed to making cities cleaner and healthier. It aims to improve the quality of life of all Europeans, and accelerate the implementation of relevant EU environmental laws. By signing the Accord, cities commit to addressing five areas of environmental management: air, water, nature and biodiversity, circular economy and waste, and noise. They are expected to set ambitious environmental targets that are to be achieved by 2030 and should go above and beyond the minimum requirements set by EU laws. The signatories should report on implementation and progress every three years.

As a supporter of the Green City Accord, ACR+ will participate in the exchange of experiences inherent to the Accord and will support its members in signing and joining the Green City Accord.
