tourisme project

Listen again the intervention of ACR+ on ways to enable “frameworks to create and integrate the appropriate funding” made during a workshop of the Interreg MED Sustainable Tourism horizontal project organised by NECSTouR on 3 June. ACR+ was one of the partners and experts from the Interreg MED thematic community to share outputs and policy recommendations. The presentation focused particularly on how to help the local SMEs and how the frameworks fit into regional and destinations recovery plans. It highlighted the importance for a good communication to reach out to the smallest actors of the sector, taking the advantage of the closeness of actors at destination level. ACR+ suggested incentives, labels, strategies and legislations (inspired by the BLUEISLANDS projects) to target the reduction of pollution during the tourist season through good waste management. ACR+ is keeping on with efforts in promoting sustainable tourism solutions with the TOURISME project, that recently launched a call for SME.
