The Urban Future Global Conference (UFGC) organisers revealed on 28 February 2019 the final programme for the three-day conference. Considered to be Europe's largest event for sustainable cities and dedicated exclusively to CityChangers – decision-makers who actively, passionately and effectively make cities more sustainable, the event will take place from 22 to 24 May 2019 in Oslo, the European Green Capital 2019.
This year’s four main themes are the following: urban mobility; built environment and architecture; leadership; and green business and innovation. The programme of the conference includes several sessions related to circular economy and green procurement. As a partner, ACR+ team is delighted to moderate a session showcasing experiences from circular cities, and also helped some ACR+ members to get involved in the programme.
ACR+ is contributing to the UFGC through the development of the programme, identification of speakers and moderation of some sessions. Interested participants are encouraged to register as soon as possible: representatives of local authorities benefit from a reduced fee (€355) if they register before 15 March 2019. After this date, they and ACR+ members that are not local authorities, can still benefit from a discounted rate by selecting the “regular tickets” option and using the partner code UFGCfamily-ACR+ (the final price will be €455, the discount applies at the end of the registration process).
