The BIOTRANSFORM project held on 10 October its inaugural working group session, which focused on the theme of "Governance and financing challenges for circular bioeconomy". The objective was to explore and gain deeper insights into the governance and financial obstacles that confronted governmental bodies as they navigated the transition towards circular bio-based systems.

With the participation of representatives of public authorities, the focus group allowed us to identify, discuss, consolidate, and prioritize existing barriers in the themes of the project. We also heard more about the specific regions and bioeconomy value chains that will be investigated over the course of the project. This interactive session marked the first step in the creation of technical transition guidelines for public authorities, listing effective governance and financing instruments to transition to a circular bio-based system.
