Summary
This deliverable aims toid entify thedifferent types of urban furniture that can be typically found in our cities, as well as to characterise them in terms of the materials and processes used for their manufacturing and the technical specifications required. This knowledge will be used during the project for the development of the Green Urban Furniture Tool (GUFTool), which will allow public authorities to purchase more sustainable urban furniture, taking into account not only economic costs but also environmental impacts of urban furniture products. Furthermore, two different urban furniture products will be selected herein as the most relevant, which will be used in two case studies intended to test and validate the functionality of the GUF Tool (once developed).
