Doelstelling circulaire economie 2030

Het is de ambitie van het kabinet om het gebruik van primaire abiotische grondstoffen in 2030 te halveren. Deze policy brief schetst voorstellen om deze doelstelling concreter en meetbaar te maken. Om richting een circulaire economie te sturen zijn echter meerdere doelen nodig. Alleen sturen op input houdt onvoldoende rekening met de effecten van het gebruik van grondstoffen.
Dit concludeert het PBL in de policy brief 'Doelstelling Circulaire Economie 2030. Operationalisering, concretisering en reflectie'. Het is een gezamenlijk product van het PBL, het Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek en TNO. De policy brief is antwoord op de vraag uit het Uitvoeringsprogramma Circulaire Economie 2019-2023 aan het PBL om de doelstelling voor 2030 te concretiseren en te operationaliseren.

The government's ambition is to halve the use of primary abiotic raw materials by 2030. This policy brief outlines proposals to make this objective more concrete and measurable. However, several goals are needed to steer towards a circular economy. Only focusing on input does not sufficiently take into account the effects of the use of raw materials.
PBL concludes this in the policy letter 'Objective of the Circular Economy in 2030. Operationalization, implementation and reflection'. It is a joint product of PBL, the Central Bureau of Statistics and TNO. The policy brief answers the question from the Implementation Program Circular Economy 2019-2023 to PBL to concretise and operationalize the target for 2030.
