The Biocircularcities project will unlock the circular economy potential of unexploited bio-based waste streams by exploring the development of economically and environmentally efficient models for organic waste (food and kitchen waste, garden waste, agricultural waste from agrobased industrial sector, wood waste and forestry residues, etc.) in three pilot areas.
Duration: 2021 - 2023
Highlights
Aiming to provide policy recommendations for implementing a circular bioeconomy in the three pilot territories, the Biocircularcities partners conducted an extensive analysis of 122 policy documents coupled to a review of 36 good practices. Results of this work is gathered in a report and two associated summaries. A summary of a report on the state of the art of biowaste production and management in the pilot areas is also available.
