SMART WASTE EU FLAG small

One of the key characteristics of the Interreg Europe programme is to foster the exchange of experiences between public authorities in Europe through the identification of good practices. After one year of existence, SMART WASTE has now started to publish their first good practices. Why not having a look at them?

You can discover an example of separate municipal waste collection in the municipality of Zlatograd (Bulgaria) and of recycling of waste from the regional manufacturing sector in Tuscany. Three additional practices are coming from Denmark, implemented by Kolding Municipality. One is about the creation of a waste communication taskforce to secure reaching citizens with important information and messages through broad and varied communication tools. Another practice describes the incorporation of a strategic circular framework into the Waste Management Plan to lower the bureaucratic processes and secure actions on the circular transition. The last good practices highlighted explains how the municipality set up a 24-hour service for handing in hazardous waste.

More good practices will be gradually uploaded on the SMART WASTE website.
