Only one week left to register your action and be part of the 12th European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR)! This year the EWWR will take place between 21 and 29 November 2020, with a thematic focus on "invisible waste", namely that waste produced during the manufacturing of products that the consumer does not see. To discover more about this year's theme, have a look at the report “The total waste of products – a study on waste footprint and climate cost”, by the Swedish coordinator Avfall Sverige, is now available in English.

To help you in organising an action on this theme several thematic tools have been developed, such infographics about invisible waste, a waste reduction quiz, a memory game and a factsheet on ecolabels a digital clean-up activity sheet and a guide to run a circular design workshop. For the first time, a contest took place on Facebook! The contest just ending, we have a winner from Hungary and a tree will be planted in the name of this action by Treenation to support a reforestation project.  

The chances to give visibility to your action do not end here! During the EWWR, take part in our photo contest and go a step further in raising awareness about waste prevention. To participate, share a picture of your waste reduction action on Facebook or Instagram from 21 to 29 November using the hashtag #EWWRPhotoContest and include a short explanation. The winning photo will become the new cover picture on our website and social media.
