OVAM | New expert report takes a step forward in the protection of the soil

The new OVAM report "The Path to Soil Care in 4D" presents an integrated vision for the future of soil management in Flanders. It is the result of close collaboration among a panel of soil experts, including academics, practitioners, and legal professionals. Key findings of the report include: the need for an integrated approach where soil management aligns closely with spatial planning, agriculture, and water management; broader awareness of the value of healthy soil; transparency through accessible soil quality information to foster engagement; and investment in education to raise awareness among future generations about the importance of soil care.
