New online course on food loss now available on FutureLearn

The FOLOU project, in partnership with the University of Reading, has launched a free online course titled "Understanding Food Loss" on the FutureLearn platform. This two-week course, accredited by EIT Food, is designed to help participants distinguish between food loss and food waste, understand their environmental and economic consequences, and explore practical solutions to measure and reduce food loss. Open to anyone interested in sustainability, the course is particularly relevant for farmers, researchers, and policymakers working to address food system challenges.
Running entirely online, the course requires a commitment of approximately two hours per week and offers a free certificate upon completion. Participants will gain essential knowledge and tools to contribute to more efficient and sustainable food supply chains. Enrolment is now open, and those interested can preview the course content through an introductory video available on the FOLOU website.
