Innovative strategies to reduce food waste

The #ReducingFoodWaste event, held from 31 January to 1 February, served as a melting pot for experts, public bodies, and industry leaders to exchange knowledge and collaborative strategies to minimise food waste across the food value chain. Organised in the framework of the FOODRUS project by ACR+ member the Catalan Waste Agency and fellow partners, the event highlighted the critical importance of addressing food waste from a multi-faceted approach. 

Key moments from the event included insightful sessions on governance, territory revitalization, and the challenges faced by the food value chain in avoiding waste. Additionally, innovative business models and local implementations of food waste reduction actions were emphasised.
