h2020 Horizon2020 Capacity Bulding aimed to build capacity for the implementation of Horizon2020 programmes in Mediterranean countries via series of training sessions and workshops.

This project has received funding by the ENPI Mediterranean Environment Programme (EuropeAid) of the European Union, 2010-2012.

{slider THE PROJECT}

The ENPI Horizon 2020 Capacity Building/Mediterranean Environment Programme (H2020 CB/MEP) aimed to support the implementation for the period 2009-2014 of the Horizon 2020 Initiative Road Map and Work Plan through capacity building and awareness raising activities, and to promote integration/mainstreaming of environment issues into other sector policies. It was also responsible for the proper coordination of the H2020 Steering Group and the three Sub-Groups and the overall enhanced visibility of Horizon 2020

The project, funded by the EU from 2010-2012 was extended for two years to cover the period 2013-2014.

ACR+ was the key thematic expert for waste management. A range of capacity building training sessions and study visits were organised under the responsibility of ACR+ in 2013 and will continue in 2014. As in the previous years, also in 2013 ACR+ members were involved as trainers in this programme.

Over 130 activities (regional, sub-regional and national) were implemented during which more than 3500 people were trained.
