Epirus Region is a Greek Regional authority and its main role is to plan and implement policies on regional level for sustainable development and social coherence. Some significant duties include environmental protection, infrastructure development, transregional and transnational cooperation. With regards to waste management, the regional authority is responsible for the approval and the implementation of the regional waste management plan.
