C-PRONE

Standing for Circular Procurement Network, C-PRONE can be pronounced as 'chaperone' in many languages, this friendly supportive companion. This gives an idea of what the hub stands for: a place for its participants to share and seek support. There is a growing number of countries, regions and cities experimenting circular procurement, but there is no overarching body, network or platform to facilitate 'inter-initiative' sharing of insights and experiences.

During the Interreg NSR ProCirc project, partners prepared the concept of C-PRONE, with the aim of setting up a permanent umbrella for circular procurement initiatives and create a structural sharing space to bridge this gap.

C-PRONE aims to enable and facilitate international sharing between the existing networks, initiatives and individual participants, with the ambition of becoming a ‘one stop shop’ for current state of play on circular procurement. Various activities will be implanted in order to:

  • Facilitate the exchange of information
  • Create a body of knowledge
  • Provide policy insights

This platform serves as a comprehensive knowledge hub, connecting users with other procurement initiatives and offering a rich repository of past and ongoing projects. It includes a collection of case studies, tools, and guidance to support informed decision-making. Additionally, the platform provides access to a circular procurement helpdesk, offering expert assistance and resources tailored to circular procurement practices.

Community members will receive a bimonthly newsletter featuring updates on circular procurement trends, community news, and the latest developments in EU policies related to circular procurement. This newsletter ensures members stay informed about relevant news and policy changes, helping them stay at the forefront of circular procurement practices.
