ACR+ member Vitrus Ambiente has joined the AICC Coffee Capsule Collection and Recycling project, an initiative, led by six companies representing 13 coffee brands, that aims to collect and recycle coffee capsules. In total, the city of Guimarães will have collection points in its 48 parishes and in two dozen supermarkets, accepting coffee capsules in plastic or aluminium, of all brands available on the market. After collection, the capsules are delivered and stored at Vitrus Ambiente and subsequently recycled. The public presentation of the initiative marked the municipality's dedication to environmental protection and the promotion of a circular economy.
