ACR+ member Government of Navarra opens a public consultation on the Regional Decree on sustainable public events to gather the opinion of the citizens and the representative organisations that could potentially be affected. The purpose of the decree is to regulate and establish waste prevention and management measures and environmental sustainability measures for public events held in Navarra.

The Decree establishes mandatory and voluntary environmental sustainability measures, as well as monitoring and control measures to be implemented at public events. The mandatory measures are aimed at the prevention of packaging waste and single-use plastics and the separation and management of waste that cannot be avoided. Environmental control and monitoring measures, such as the calculation of the carbon footprint and the obligation to draw up a sustainability report on the event, are also mandatory measures.
