ACR+ member Government of Navarra and Ecoembes, the integrated management system that coordinates the recycling of packaging in Spain, have launched the second edition of the environmental project " Recycling Way". The initiative aims to raise environmental awareness, protect the natural environment along the Camino de Santiago, and promote recycling among pilgrims by providing hostels with the necessary tools for proper recycling.

Since the launch of the project in Navarra in 2021, this collaborative network has increased from 33 to 55 hostels. All of them are given a kit that consists, among other things, of educational posters, bins for packaging and paper and cardboard, an identifying stamp for the hostel as a partner of the campaign, and 5,500 reusable bags made from recycled PET to give to pilgrims and thus avoid littering.
