A new law on fiscal, financial, administrative and public sector measures and the creation of the tax on facilities that affect the environment has been approved, including a set of measures that affect the field of waste. In particular it establishes the progressive increase, over four years, of the fees related to the controlled disposal and incineration of municipal waste.
 
Flexibility measures for businesses are also included: a 100% deduction will be applied to the fees of ACR+ member the Catalan Waste Agency related to the electronic processing of the documentation for waste transportation and management and to the electronic registration and modification records in the General Register of waste producers in Catalonia. In addition, non-hazardous waste bonds will be eliminated. The last measure aims to promote the use of recycled aggregates by encouraging the use of resources obtained from construction and demolition waste.
