Report: Municipal waste management: an image from local and regional authorities in Europe

In 2005, ACR+ re-launched a major survey among members to gauge their practices and performance in the field of waste management. In fact this has built upon the success of an earlier survey, conducted in 2000.
Its main objectives are:
- to highlight progressive initiatives in waste management
- to provide an updated picture of the activities of our members and of waste management in Europe
- to provide examples of good practice
- to assist members in finding solutions to ‘problems’ being experienced in resource management
- to drive forward debate beyond recycling and composting
