ProCirc

01 January 2019 Project, Circularity

The ProCirc project aims to experiment, implement and learn how circular economy and procurement can benefit the region. Procuring organisations can stimulate circular economy using their demand to change markets. This will not only have a direct impact on business models, and on the innovation and economic opportunities that suppliers will create, but also on decreasing carbon emissions and the use of resources and closing product and material loops. The aim is to develop knowledge and understanding on how circular procurement contributes to reducing raw material usage, waste, and CO2 emissions across industries. Throughout the project, more than 30 circular procurement pilot projects were initiated in various sectors, including textiles, clothing, construction, ICT, and furniture.
