ACR+ News
ACR+ is currently looking for 10 to 20 local authorities to join two working groups. The first working group will take place online in June (date to be defined) and will foster an active discussion between different local actors on the challenges and barriers they are facing when managing bio-waste at their local scale. The second working group will take place in September (date to be defined) and will aim to create a discussion on the best practices regarding bio-waste management. The data collected from the discussions will be used to create a set of guidelines aimed at fostering bio-waste recycling to high-quality compost and digestate across the EU.
Since January 2023, ACR+ is a partner in the LIFE BioBest project that aims to highlight current best practices along the bio-waste management chain that promote quality compost and digestate production. The project will also address the technical, regulatory, economic, and environmental barriers to widely adopt the identified best practices. For further information, we would like to share a presentation that summarises the LIFE BioBest project. In the presentation you will find the project’s core objectives and activities.
If you are interested, please email Jean-Benoît Bel (jbb@acrplus.org) and Lauriane Noirot (lno@acrplus.org). We will come back to you to set the detail of the process.
