Analysis of Municipal Waste Management Practices in Europe

The objective of this report is to provide an image of a virtual “optimal” scenario for waste prevention and selective collection which could be chosen as a target in an established horizon of time for one regional or local administration in Europe. This study also aims to give an insight into instruments and strategies developed by those municipalities identified as already achieving good performances in waste prevention and recycling.
