A guide to integrate circularity in building projects: information on Level(s)
Integrating sustainability into the building sector should consider both energy efficiency and a sustainable management of the material resources. The European Commission designed a tool that can guide all the stakeholders of the building sector to apply circular economy principles in the built environment. Level(s) provides a common language for the building projects in line with the European Union sustainable initiatives, considering the whole building lifecycle (funding, design, construction, renovation) providing a tool to plan and monitor the sustainable performances of buildings. After following a webinar presenting this instrument, we are sharing with you an interesting information about it.
Cities and regions can benefit of Level(s) by accessing the eLearning platform, where it is possible to learn about the 16 indicators that should guide a building project. Through a set of priorities, Level(s) provides a clear vision of key aspects that should be considered to define requirements for new and renovated buildings, to meet climate and recovery objectives, to integrate sustainability into urban planning, to stimulate circularity and lifecycle thinking at city level.
