This workshop, organized by the EPR Club, will delve into the crucial role of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes within the framework of the upcoming Circular Economy Act. The event aims to be a dynamic forum for discussion among key stakeholders. Participants will explore the opportunities and challenges associated with leveraging EPR as a key instrument to foster a circular, competitive, and resilient economy across the EU single market. 

 

Expert speakers and participants will exchange on key topics such as:

  • EPR: achievements, limits and opportunities to date
  • EPR implementation at local and regional level: how to boost quality and quantity of selective collection
  • How can EPR be designed to prioritise reuse: EPR funding, targets, support to social enterprises
  • How EPR supports recycling activities and how it can be improved
  • Specific focus: breaking it down to the WEEE sector
