Zero Waste Scotland 190px

The publication of the Scottish Litter and Fly-tipping Strategy, developed in partnership with ACR+ member Zero Waste Scotland, Keep Scotland Beautiful and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, sets out a refreshed approach to tackling litter and fly-tipping to protect and enhance Scotland’s environment; ensure safer and cleaner communities and contribute to a thriving circular economy for Scotland. Moreover, it sets out how national and local governments, businesses, communities and individuals can work together, through innovative behavioural change, improved infrastructure and strengthened enforcement, to better value our resources as a society and prevent the escape of materials from the economy.

The delivery framework of this six-year strategy will comprise three elements: a high-level strategy setting out a vision and strategic objectives; legislative action to prevent and tackle litter and fly-tipping; and annual action plans setting out in detail activities needed to deliver the outcomes and vision.
