ACR+ member OVAM has launched a platform showcasing initiatives against food loss. Back in 2021, OVAM introduced the action plan for food loss and biomass residual flows and is now launching this website as an initiative to further push the fight against food loss. Flanders aims to prevent 30% of food losses through circular practices, acting inside the food chain.  

 

OVAM has been working on several actions and initiatives against food loss over the past years but created this platform to provide a central stage to them. The platform offers inspiration for fighting food waste in home kitchens, schools, and food companies. This is also a way of highlighting the collective efforts of public authorities, families, and companies.
