In a recent ceremony, ACR + member LIPOR unveiled its brand-new automatic packaging sorting unit. The new unit has a minimum capacity of 8 tonnes/hour, corresponding to an annual treatment capacity of more than 30 000 tonnes of packaging waste. This sorting line presents an investment of around EUR 9 million and was financed by POSEUR - Portuguese operational program for sustainability and efficiency in the use of resources. This investment reinforces the commitment of LIPOR and its associated municipalities to maximise and increase the quantity and quality of materials and send them for recycling in order to maximise the amount of waste to be recovered.
