With the adoption of a new climate action plan and a climate adaptation plan, ACR+ member Odense City Council has set a new direction towards a green and sustainable city. The two plans can give Odense a certification as a DK2020 municipality that meets international targets for reducing CO2 emissions and adapting to climate change. With the Climate Action Plan 2023, 28 different initiatives contribute to reducing CO2 emissions in Odense, including sorting and recycling of plastics. With the Budget Agreement 2023, a total sum of DKK 40 million (EUR 5,376,812) has been set aside to implement the initiatives of the Climate Action Plan 2023.
