ACR+ member ORDIF has been monitoring the management of household and similar waste throughout the Ile-de-France region for more than twenty years by conducting an annual survey of Ile-de-France communities with waste expertise. The current survey was sent in April 2022 to the 61 communities in Ile-de-France in charge of household waste collection and/or having the contracting authority for public waste collection centres. To date, 48 local authorities have responded to the survey (78% of the responses). According to the data collected, 451 kg of waste was collected per inhabitant in 2021. Of the 5.5 million tonnes treated, 61.55% was incinerated; 15.77% corresponds to material recovery and 6.71% to organic recovery.
