The mayor of ACR+ member Zagreb announced the start of construction work on a recycling centre in the Podsused - Vrapče district of the city. The new recycling centre is intended for the separate collection and temporary storage of special types of waste. It will consist of a handling area, a storage area for problematic waste and will be equipped with containers and tanks for different types of waste. Citizens will be able to leave bulky and other waste that cannot be separated in recycling containers free of charge. The total investment amounts to HRK 8 million (EUR 1,063,036), of which HRK 4.5 million (EUR 597,958) were financed by grants from the European Union under the Operational Programme "Competitiveness and Cohesion".
