ACR+ member the Catalan Waste Agency (ARC) will grant EUR 2.5 million to encourage the selective collection of municipal waste. The subsidies will go both to local authorities, for the selective collection of the various fractions of municipal waste, and to non-profit organisations, universities, and companies, to improve the collection of the organic fraction.
 
Local governments are intended to take actions to improve the collection of organic waste, to promote composting, to improve the selective collection of textiles, used vegetable oils and other waste out of the EPR regulations.
