In early 2020, a collective composting site will open in the Battant neighbourhood, in Besançon, France. It will adopt a new functional system, in-between composting bins at the bottom of buildings, managed by the inhabitants, and composting cabins, managed by ACR+ member SYBERT.
The site will have different bins for organic waste, for the compost, and for the mash. The set will have a total capacity of four to six tonnes per year. SYBERT will take care of more technical operations: qualitative monitoring, turning over, transfer of compost between cells, and provision of compost.
