Fryslan wants to be in the top 3 of the most circular regions of Europe by 2025. The Province and the University of Groningen are joining forces to realise the Frisian ambition.
 
The Annual Plan for the Circular Economy 2019 was adopted by the Provincial Executive on 15 January 2019. A number of appealing projects were selected. These projects aim to motivate people and put Fryslan on the map as an international development region for circular economy.
 
One of the most striking things is the circular making of a Frisian island. Actually, the island becomes a large testing ground from which there is a lot to learn.
