Check now the report of the first of eight online workshops on innovative solutions for surplus food loss and waste prevention organised by the FOODRUS project. This episode dealt with monitoring and reporting food loss and food waste and touched upon topics such as standardisation of food loss and waste worldwide or modelling food waste along the food supply chain for different food types. The next event will take place on 23 January 2023 (15:00-17:00 CET)  and will focus on “Food upcycling and food waste recycling – what is it all about?”.
 
In the framework of the project, ACR+ is currently also coordinating the identification and analysis of available best practices for the promotion of sustainable food systems. This encompasses assessing how initiatives led by civil society organizations, businesses and public entities have managed to prevent food waste generation, and reduce the environmental footprint of food production and waste management. The inventory of the good practices will become available in the second half of 2023.
